Buffalo Tanning Club is a mobile spray tan company based in Buffalo, NY. Since they’re proud of their spray formula that actually works with and adjusts with a client’s skin color to deepen it (rather than just spraying their clients orange), they wanted a professional-looking logo to represent their business. The owner told me she was interested in a design that featured the female body, a spray gun or both, and going by those guidelines I set out to create the perfect design for her.

The logo concept you see here features a female figure in a frame with a wrapping spray gun around it. The Figure’s bikini bottom is slightly pulled down on the right side, showing white skin contrasting with her tanned body. The logo illustration was first drawn out in marker, and then brought into Adobe Illustrator and vectorized. I paired a curvy script font with a contrasting serif font for the company title, bringing the logo together. I chose a rose color to brighten the illustration-heavy logo just a bit more and to also going along with the feminine, summery theme.
