OLV Human Services Agency Brochure

OLV Human Services Agency Brochure

Art Direction, Print, Brochure Design

OLV Human Services’ (OLVHS) Agency Brochure is one of my favorite projects I’ve done for the OLV Organizations. I think it’s a piece that helps in the effort to solve a big problem OLVHS faces—communicating to people the vast array of services they provide to their clients. OLVHS is a very large organization, and they help people in the Western New York Community in their application of trauma informed care, their work in accessible dentistry, therapy, education programs, residential services, employment services, home and community based services, autism diagnosis and treatment, and more. While their selection of programs is amazing, the sheer amount of them does lead to some confusion on what it is they do.

This overarching agency brochure includes background on how they started in the spirit of OLV’s founder, Father Nelson Baker, includes a message on what they strive to do today from CEO Cindy Lee, clearly states all the services OLVHS provides, and guides viewers to where they can learn more and look into services themselves. It’s everything you’d need to know about the organization at a high level, all in one place.

Throughout the design of this piece, I brought in a design motif we use a lot at OLV, interconnected circles with photos of our clients, pushing the message of how OLV and their community are all connected. On the cover, this sort of design is featured, with the circle images all connecting to a die cut heart where you can see through to the OLVHS logo on the first page. And when you open the brochure, you see on the inside cover the heart cut out over a photo of Father Baker, the founder of OLV and its many programs. This all works together to show a message of how the clients are connected to OLV, how OLV cares through their programs, and the history of OLV in how OLVHS continues to serve their clients in the spirit of their founder. OLV has always been a place of helping those in need and will continue to do so well into the future.
